Anatomy of the Respiratory Tract
To understand what is the matter with your lungs, you need to know how your respiratory system is built. We describe the major players in lung function, how inspiration and expiration is accomplished, and the process by which oxygen gets into the blood. This lecture prepares you for the next lecture on lung disease.

Understanding Lung Diseases
You will learn about lung diseases “BIG Three”: asthma, emphysema and bronchitis as well as other diseases of the respiratory tract. We will hone in on your specific disease and how it affects your ability to breathe. Visual aids accompany this lecture.

LungsPulmonary Medication Part I
Often patients aren’t taking their medications optimally because they have forgotten the purpose or the best way to take the medication. Refresh your memory and make sure you are taking your meds correctly.

Pulmonary Medications Part II: Using Your Inhaler Correctly
Nationally, over 80% of those tested were not able to demonstrate correct use of their inhaler. Refresh your technique and learn the best way to tell if your inhaler has enough medication to be effective.

Learn how to simplify tasks to save energy and learn how to get more energy. Work smarter and feel better about yourself.

Pulmonary Diet
This film explores how weight affects your breathing. Tips are given for gaining weight that are unique to the pulmonary patient. Weight loss for the pulmonary patient is discussed as well. Learn how to eat more comfortably.

Coping with Lung Disease
This interactive class is designed to share the struggles you have with lung disease and to gain insight into the common emotions of those with long-term illness.
