Clinical Coordinator

The Clinical Coordinator of Acute Care is accountable for the management of clinical nursing practice in the acute setting. This management includes coordination of the interdisciplinary team in the provision of patient care. Patient care includes care of the neonate to geriatric populations. Clinical Coordinator of Acute Care is an expert in the care processes of general pediatrics, general medical, general surgery, pneumonia, heart failure, orthopedics, ventilator management, acute myocardial infarction, thoracic surgery, and vascular surgery.

The applicant in this position must be a graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, possess a current Illinois RN License. BSN preferred but not required and have CPR Certification. Must have a minimum of five years healthcare experience. Previous management experience preferred. Must be willing to attend management training that may require travel overnight.

The registered professional nurse is responsible for providing care, treatment, and education through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The registered professional nurse takes into account patient acuity levels, ages, disabilities, psychological state, communication ability, and stages of development in the performance of her/his responsibilities.

Nursing care is provided in collaboration with the Medical Staff and in accordance with objectives and policies of Graham Hospital. The registered professional nurse assumes case management responsibilities as assigned. The registered professional nurse cooperates with and follows direction of the clinical supervisor. The registered professional nurse reports to the clinical supervisor and department head. The registered professional nurse is responsible for nursing care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.

The applicant in this position will be a graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with two years of medical/surgical or home health experience. Current Illinois Licensure and American Heart Association CPR Certification.

The applicant for this position will function as a member of the health care team assisting with patient care based on an individual patient’s needs. The Patient Care Technician operates under the direct supervision of the registered nurse.

Applicants for this position must be a high school graduate or equivalent preferred. CNA, Medical Assistant, EMT or one year of nursing school. Medical terminology preferred. Current American Heart Association BLS certification. Lifting, carrying, positioning and/or moving patients or equipment 50 pounds or more frequently.

Medical/Surgical/Pediatric Nurse on Med/Surg is responsible for patient assessment, medications, treatments, care plans, teaching and discharge planning for an assigned group of patients based on acuity. Applicant must possess strong communication skills, critical thinking skills and interpersonal skills.

The applicant in this position must be a graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, possess a current Illinois RN License and have CPR Certification or be willing to obtain BLS Certification within specific time period.

Reimbursement Specialist II

This position is responsible for the subsequent processing of a patient account with all appropriate third party payers. Position responds to patient and/or payer information requests, concerns about charges, and other services complaints. This position reports to the Director of the Business Office.

Qualified applicant has a high school diploma, two years of accounts receivable experience and knowledge of CPT and ICD coding.
